Who I Help:

  • Adults suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, vicarious trauma, work or caregiving stress.

  • Young adults in need of emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, and coping skills to deal with depression, anxiety, and and life challenges.

How I Help:

Attachment Theory - Attachment theory is used in counseling to describe the relationship patterns developed from the first caregiving experience that we experience as children. Find out more about Attachment Theory and your attachment style.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Using acceptance as a way to deal with negative thoughts, feelings, symptoms, or circumstances. ACT encourages patients to commit to healthy, constructive activities to uphold their values or goals.

Brainspotting - Brainspotting (BSP) locates points in the client’s visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain. Brainspotting identifies, processes and releases core neurophysiological sources of emotional and physical pain, trauma, dissociation and other challenging symptoms. By being able to access the source of our trauma in our brains, we are better able to respond to it when it appears.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Challenging negative thought patterns of self and the world to alter unwanted behavior patterns or treat mood disorders such as depression.

Mindfulness Based Approaches - This may include a combination of cognitive therapy, meditation, and the cultivation of a present-oriented, non-judgmental attitude of mindfulness.

Solution Focused Therapy - Short-term, goal-focused evidence-based therapy, highlighting positive psychology principles and practices, with a focus on solutions, not problems.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- Evidence-based treatment for children and young adults impacted by trauma to address a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties.
